Memories :)
Bethany leaning over my shoulder to see what I am reading, me smelling the strawberry yoghurt on her breath and smiling.
Eloise calling Bethany 'Beth' even though no one else in the family calls her that. A pet name for her fantastic big sister.
Eloise complaining about bread crusts (and mostly being expected to eat them)!
Bethany attracting dirt like a magnet, how does she get so dirty in a matter of seconds, sometimes when she hasn't even obviously moved?!
Bethany reading and reading and reading, what an inquisitive mind.
Bethany wanting cheese sandwiches, Eloise wanting ham sandwiches.
Their love of play doh (clearly I have failed at my attempt to drill into them that it is soooo messy it can't possibly be fun!).
Reward stickers being 'saved' all over the house.
Bethany's collection of plasters that, despite explaining is pretty yukky to keep, she saves because they are war wound proof and a proud badge of honour.
Their incredible desire to wrap lucky dip toys for our parties and events. I don't know where they get this love from, neither Tony nor I enjoy this task, thank goodness for willing children!
Their little quotes that make me howl with laughter. I wish I could write them all down, sadly most are now lost with time but occasionally a little nugget comes to mind and makes me smile.
Whitening ballet shoes. :)
Bedtime cuddles and declarations of "I love you all the way to the moon and back, up to Jesus and all the way around him, 100 gazillion trillion times and back".
Hundreds and hundreds (and hundreds) of drawings on printer paper dedicated to Mummy. That's why we never have any paper when we need to print something.
Toys that, if lost, would cause the world to fall apart.
First teeth. First hair cuts. First shoes. First dancing competitions. First overnight stays. Growing up!
Sisters squealing with delight at secret jokes that, when revealed, often involve rude noises!
Listening to children singing songs out of sight, oblivious to their audience.
"Shhhh, Mum's coming," and the sound of 2 little girles racing into their beds and laying down with their eyes closed. Honest, they are asleep!
Picnics at dancing class between lessons.
"The house is on fire!"...... "In a minute..."
An endless fascination with balloons.
*happy sigh* these are the days. :)
