Awards Ceremony. London

In November Eloise was invited to London to receive an award from Stagecoach (Theatre Arts) for being such a 'Good Buddy' to Bethany and being so patient and understanding during the times when Bethany's health had to come first. She really is a little superstar and we are infinitely proud of her. She is already growing into a little lady, so kind and caring with endless stories to tell and a huge sense of humour.
We decided to make it as special as possible so we stayed in London for a couple of days and planned some extra experiences as well as managing to meet up with some great friends that we rarely get to see.
The girls were very excited when they realised the London Eye was visible from our hotel room.

We met up with a special friend and all went to the science museum.

And we finished the day off eating a sumptuous feast cooked by our friend Lita and having a mini 'liver get together'.

The next day the girls went on the London Eye with Tony (ahem, I held the handbags and volunteered to view from the ground!).

We had a bit of a wet wander around Westminster and the girls both bought umbrellas. Eloise bought the Union Jack one that you can see in the photo and Bethany bought one that said "I *heart* London" which they both thought was very exciting!

After a quick turn around we set off to the awards ceremony. We had to queue outside the building for a few minutes so we took the time to enjoy the scenery.

It was fascinating to be in the function room and look across to the London Eye where we'd been stood earlier that morning.

All the children at the ceremony were inspirational. Eloise was presented with her Highly Commended award for being a Good Buddy by Sir Bernard Ingham. She was quite nervous but also very excited.

Eloise with Lisa, the other child nominated in the Good Buddy section of the awards. Lisa was the over all winner and very deserving. :)

Bethany had fun trying to drink the ice out of her glass!

These next couple of photos were taken on the way back to the hotel. It was a cold walk through the streets of London but well worth it to see it lit up at night.

On the last morning we managed to fit in another trip to the science museum before heading home as the girls had enjoyed it so much previously and ran out of time before it closed. Eloise and I went out for breakfast, here she is being as sensible as ever!

The beautiful view on the way home. :) Ahhhhhhhhh.... And so endeth another adventure.

Well done Eloise, thank you for sharing the pictures. Glad you enjoyed London, it's good to see it through someone else's eyes.
I haven't been up to London for ages, except for Grandson's tongue tie op.
It was an annual trip when the kids were little for the lights. Up Oxford Street than back and down Regent St.
